getting started Getting Started
The story started when Reverend Grace Richardson visited St. Stephen's Cathedral C.O.G.I.C. in California, where the former overseer of Power House Church, Bishop JD Washington, was hosting Saturday Night Live Church. Accustomed to similar gatherings with her late husband, Reverend Norman L. Richardson, known as the Bishop of Comedy, she immediately embraced the concept as described in Habakkuk 2:2. Upon her return to New York, she was transformed; church was no longer church as usual. Her focus shifted entirely to Gospel Open Entertainment. This new wave of enthusiasm even reached the Netherlands, attracting people from various coasts and nations, all eager to witness a fresh approach to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As Pastor Grace and her team prepared to return to San Diego, CA, with The Power House Church, O.H.D. the youth program known as Y.A.O.H. was engaged in an entrepreneurial project called "Kandy Korner." This project also featured singing, rapping, and a skit. "Kandy Korner" is a practical project for the children. Each year, our youth undertake substantial and pertinent projects that contribute to improving lives. They undergo customer service training and internships at partnering businesses or churches, where they either enhance their current skills or acquire new ones.
